Respect's AGM 2012

Respect's AGM will be held on Thursday, 15 November 2012 at 3pm-4pm

The meeting will take place at the Respect Office, Development House, 56-64 Leonard St. London, EC2A 4LT

Respect invites you to our AGM which will be held after our Accredited Members’ Forum in the hope that as many members as possible will be able to attend. This is your chance to find out more about – and have a say in – Respect’s work. We do hope you’ll join us. The AGM is an open meeting, and anyone interested in Respect’s work is very welcome to attend. Only Respect members present at the AGM are entitled to vote. If you are not a member, you are very welcome to join up now or on the day if you would like to be able to participate in the voting process and benefit from becoming a Respect member.[1]

Business of the AGM

As per the Articles of Association (21.2) the business of the AGM will include:

· the consideration of accounts and balance sheets,

· the reports of the Trustees and auditors,

· the election of Trustees in place of those retiring,

· the election of Trustees appointed to fill a vacancy since the last Annual General Meeting,

· the appointment of auditors. And on this occasion

· consideration of a special resolution to revise the Articles of Association. (36.3).

The deadline for nominations to the Board of Trustees is 1 November 2012.

RSVP

Member organisations are kindly asked to RSVP to indicate whether or not they will be sending a voting representative so that we can gauge numbers and ensure quoracy. Please email info@respect.uk.net to indicate either way, ASAP.

Proxy voting

Respect members unable to attend the meeting in person can apply for 1 proxy vote (1 vote per member organisation). To apply for a proxy vote please email info@respect.uk.net by 12 noon on 1 November 2012 at the latest. Proxy votes will need to be returned by 3pm on 13 November 2012 (in accordance with the Articles of Association).

Respect's AGM 2011 & 10th Birthday celebration

Respect's tenth AGM (and 10th Birthday celebration) was held on 17 February 2011 at The Wellcome Collection Conference Centre, London.

October 2010: Respect's AGM 2010

Unfortunately due to the cancellation of the NPN in November 2010 we will be changing the date of our AGM and reschedulling for another date as soon as possible.
