The Respect Phoneline is funded by the Home Office for England and Wales, from the Scottish Government for Scotland and from the Northern Ireland Office.

We welcome donations to allow us to offer more services to the public. Some of the things we want to achieve in 2011/12:

  • Fund more Helpline Sessional Workers to allow us to speak to more callers
  • Translate the pages of this website in various community languages
  • Compile a guide to setting up a domestic violence perpetrator programme for frontline workers in voluntary and statutory agencies
  • Publish and distribute information and advice booklets for perpetrators in same-sex relationships
  • Commission an external evaluation of the Respect Phoneline ('customer satisfaction survey') and publish and distribute the relevant report

If you want to support the work we do you can donate by text message; send a text message to 70070 with the following text:  RESP10 followed by the amount you wish to donate. For example, if you want to donate £10 your text should say RESP10 £10. Thank you.

Alternatively, individuals and companies wishing to donate to the Respect Phoneline can send a cheque (paid out to Respect) and a covering letter to the following address:
