We have been busy developing and adapting our training courses for online access. This was partly in response to Covid-19, but also to meet a wider range of learning needs and make our training content more accessible and affordable.

We will offer online training as Self-paced, self-learning (not trainer led); or live, trainer-led – and where there is demand, as a combination of both, ie: offering some modules of a training course in a self-paced way and some other modules in a live mode, led by a trainer.

We have gained valuable experience and technical knowledge by offering self-paced online training to London's frontline workers this summer. We are currently analysing the feedback to make further improvements before making this type of training available to the wider sector. Meanwhile, we are adapting some of our most popular courses for live, trainer-led delivery, with our experienced trainers.

Training courses such as Working with Male Victims of Domestic Abuse, Better Engagement with Perpetrators, Introduction to Child to Parent Violence and Abuse, will be available as self-paced, self-learning soon, giving learners the flexibility to learn when they choose to and how fast or slow they prefer.

Other courses such as the four-day 'Individual Working with Perpetrators', the five-day 'Group-work with domestic abuse perpetrators: Facilitator's essential skills' and the interactive 'Cross-cultural working with perpetrators of domestic abuse' will become available as live, trainer-led, in shorter, manageable live sessions.

There will be some mandatory, assessed, pre-training reading for some of these courses, to ensure the live training time is utilised to gain skills and employers get real value for their investment in staff learning and development.
We will be happy to deliver any of our training in whichever combination works better for an organisation wanting to offer our courses to their staff.
