It can be difficult and stressful when practitioners are faced with dual-allegations of domestic abuse, or perpetrators presenting to support services as victims. This PDD will equip facilitators with enhanced assessment skills and knowledge in order to deal with dual allegations and identify the primary perpetrator.

Who is this PDD for?

ISS Workers and Facilitators

This practice development session will help practitioners:

  • Become familiar with typologies of domestic abuse, perpetrator presentations and functions of violence
  • Have increased confidence unpicking complex domestic abuse dynamics to identify the primary perpetrator
  • Be confident using tools such as the Respect Brief Assessment Checklist during assessments where there are dual allegations to identify the primary perpetrator.

Please note that this PDD is for staff at Accredited Services only, and that spaces are limited to 4 per service
