Delivering this module and keeping perpetrators on topic can be challenging. Perpetrators may feel defensive when talking about the impact of their behaviour on their children, and can therefore be quite resistant to engaging with the content.

This practice development session will help practitioners:

  • Feel able to put the group at ease and overcome resistance to the topic in order to deliver effective sessions
  • Know how to create a safe trauma informed environment in which to deliver this content
  • Feel prepared for the common pitfalls that may arise when delivering this module and know how to respond to these when they arise.
  • Feel confident managing group dynamics when delivering this content, and setting boundaries to facilitate effective delivery
