ADVANCE is a research project led by King’s College London, in partnership with Respect, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of York and Rochester Institute of Technology.
ADVANCE is conducting a large trial to explore the efficacy and cost effectiveness of ADVANCE in reducing intimate partner abuse by men in treatment for substance use. The aim is to enhance theory and treatment approaches for males in substance use treatment who perpetrate intimate partner abuse. A process evaluation will be undertaken to understand the intervention’s functioning.
Advance is funded by the NIHR.
