In order to turn the tide domestic abuse for good we will need exceptional leadership at local, regional and national levels.

Local councillors collectively make vital decisions about what services to fund, as well as maintaining oversight of a wide range of systems and agencies which respond to domestic abuse. We want all local councillors to be committed to ending domestic abuse, and to have the knowledge to lead positive change in their areas.

That means we need strong services in place to support and empower survivors. But to end domestic abuse and keep survivors safe, we must also ensure that interventions are in place to hold perpetrators to account, offer the chance to change, and stop them from causing further harm.
